The rewards of a great ‘selfie’

As part of our marketing strategy to bring Anderson Group to the attention of the whole recruitment industry, we ran a “selfie” competition for everyone attending this years’ Recruiter Awards dinner.  In case you were unaware, Anderson Group have been headline sponsor of this prestigious recruitment industry event for the past three years.  The Awards were held in May of this year at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel, Mayfair and attended by over 1,200 people, nearly all of whom are recruitment professionals from a wide spectrum of the industry.

To reinforce our awareness, Lisa Pearse (Marketing Manager, Luton) arranged a “selfie” competition to encourage all those attending the event to tweet their “selfie” to Anderson Group (@_AndersonGroup).  This allowed us to place competition rule cards – detailing our logo and contact details – on every place setting.  Coupled with an Anderson branded hovering “blimp” and our logo on every menu, event programme and main stage screen –  the guests were left with no doubt as to who we are!

The winner of the competition was rewarded with a private dinner for 10 work colleagues at top London restaurant, Quaglino’s.  The meal took place on June 16th and from the feedback we received from the agency, a great night was had by all.  What’s more, we have now been invited by the agency to pitch for their referral business – so a real win win for both the Agency and for Anderson!
