We believe that a growing and successful company has a responsibility to its staff and the community from which it evolves. From our very beginnings, we have looked at ways to improve the environment and minimise our impact on it. If you take a walk through our offices, you will be hard pressed to find a filing cabinet full of client files – that’s because we don’t have any! Others may say they operate a paperless office – at Anderson, we actually do!
Wherever possible, our sales and promotional material is either made from recycled materials (like our shiny new mouse mat made from old paper cups) or designed to save the environment (like our eco-friendly water bottle designed to filter tap water and discourage the use of plastic bottled water). Even our promotional material is delivered in re-usable sacks designed for re-use by replacing plastic shopping bags.
We are also extremely proud of our various charitable activities. As a company we have adopted “Brainwave” as our principle corporate charity, early in 2015 becoming one of their Bronze corporate sponsors. Brainwave has been working with families affected by children with disabilities to deliver individual home based therapies and exercise programmes to help those children achieve their full potential. (If you wish to know more about Brainwave’s immensely important work, please visit their website at www.brainwave.org.uk )
In addition, our annual involvement in Red Nose Day, Children In Need, Movember and many more national charities often see our staff turning up for work in some form of crazy fancy dress or taking part in various sponsored events. Individually, Anderson is pleased to encourage those of our staff who are keen sports men and women to run, kick, swim and cycle to help raise money for various charities.
